Blizzard From Within is a 21 minute free improvisation in a new style I am exploring which I call Ambient Expressionism.  I seek to bring together both calm large scale moods with dynamic twists of emotions.

The piece opens with a calm and lyrical first theme in Ab Major that then descends into a more placid and pensive 2nd theme in b minor. Then it builds in three stormy waves and settles into a full blizzard condition that swirls and howls for several minutes. After the main storm there is a calm nebulous section in a whole tone scale. The piece  then devolves back into a group like the second theme before returning to the Ab Major first theme.

I am really proud of this piece and excited that I was able to capture it with 5 4k camera angles. I have made an extensive video edit and am showcasing this track on YouTube.
