I am hosting a special preorder of my premiere album entitled 43.  Recorded on my 43rd birthday, this 105 minute double CD set is fully improvised and presented as a concert recording.  Multicam video of the performance will also be available.  I have also transcribed several of the pieces and the first volume of sheet music will be offered.

I am doing this preorder because I have several expenses left before I can get the album released to the general public.  While it is generally easier to release music nowadays than in the past, I wanted this music to be treated like a professional recording.  Therefore I have contracted a top tier mastering engineer to finalize the audio before it can be distributed. Located in Vienna, my engineer has over 30 years of experience and mastered my idol Keith Jarrett’s last album, The Budapest Concert.  There are also a variety of other fixed costs in duplication and other back end services.  

I had thought about doing a Kickstarter to raise these funds, however that process can be quite slow.  I am therefore using my Reward Music website to host this preorder.  All transactions are processed by Stripe and are fully secure.  

43 was recorded at Ovation Sound in Winston Salem, NC on a beautiful 100 year old 6 foot 7 inch Bösendorfer 200.  The album consists of 17 tracks and a wide range of emotional and pianistic content.  There are several large scale pieces that are deep and take you on a journey, some of which get pretty wild.  I have grouped highlights of these in a video entitled “Wild Pieces”:

I also improvised some beautiful ballads and shorter pieces.  The Sunrise Ruby is a beautiful piece in my favorite key of Db Major. I also created a set of miniatures called Steps to Masada with an almost Satie-like quality of simplicity.  These highlights are in the video, Tender Moments:
